Frank V. Lile:  Frank represented the first generation in the Auction business. In the 1940's, he was one of the most prominent auctioneers of cattle in the United States. He specialized in Scottish bred Ayrshires. In April 1948 he set a new sales record for the breed in the United States. He auctioned off 23 Ayrshires, with the average price of $2,267.39 per head being paid for his imported cattle. Frank had 2 sons, Jim and Joe who became auctioneers and continued the tradition of selling cattle throughout the United States. He remained active in the auction and furniture businesses until his death in 1981
