Mick Lile:

Mick Lile:    Mick represents the Third Generation in the Auction business. He was introduced to the Auction Profession at a very early age. Mick recalls how an unfortunate accident changed his life forever. Summers as a young boy where spent on vacation with his family in Michigan.  One summer when he was about 7 or 8 years old, he fell and cut his knee. With it all bandaged up he was not able to go swimming with the other children. Instead he went to the auction with his Dad and Granddad. They sat him atop an old refrigerator that proved a great vantage point to observe the goings on. He was soon in awe watching them work the crowd. He knew right then and there that’s what he really wanted to do.

Mick has been a Licensed Auctioneer since 1974. He has been an Estate Planner and Appraiser since 1982. Having grown up in the auction business he worked right alongside his dad and granddad. He sold antiques, fine furniture, and estates, all the while learningthis business and honing his skills. Being the son of Jim Lile and the grandson of Frank V. Lile it did not take long for him to develop a great auction chant. At the annual Ohio State Fair Auctioneers Bid Calling Contest, Mick placed in the top three two years running in 1985 and 1986. He has conducted thousands of auctions and made a reputation with his high energy auctioning style. He has sold virtually everything imaginable in his career. For the past 30 plus years Mick has conducted almost every sale for the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.

In addition to being an auctioneer he is active in the community. He owns and operates Mick’s Used Furniture in Bellefontaine. Mick is a 32° Degree Freemason and a Shriner.
